Puppy “Waterproof” Car Hammock

Found this on Pinterest and have meant to make one for the longest while, with a slight twist using Babyville fabric making it waterproof…I hope. Unfortunately, I was a bit late in making it because the puppies got stuck in the car a minute too long this past weekend, thus sparking an immediate reason to take the project on.

Here's to hoping the "waterproofing" works. J

Materials
2 yards (60” wide) of fleece material
2 yards Babyville PUL Fabric (60” wide)
Matching thread
4 yards 1½” ribbon

Tools
Sewing machine
Scissors
Measuring tape
Pins

 Instructions
1. Cut the ribbon into eight 18” pieces.
2. Pin the two different fabrics together (wrong sides facing) folding in the edges.
3. On the short edges, pin the ribbon between the two sides as indicated in the diagram.
4. Sew edges with a zig zag stitch.
5. Use ribbons to tie onto the head rests in your vehicle, fleece side up.
6. Done!
